In addition to discretionary funds of $75 per teacher per year, the PTSA maintains additional funds for grants. Teachers may apply for funding for instructional materials, equipment, community building or cultural activities, special projects, professional development, etc. Please see the fund request form below.
Evaluation Criteria will include but not be limited to:
- Participation: Preference will be given to grants serving a greater number of students
- Reuse: The PTA prefers to fund durable goods that can serve students now and in the future. Requests for single use supplies are discouraged.
- Curricular Relevance: Proposals should be related to the educational goals that adhere to the curriculum. Preference will be given to proposals that are linked to the teaching goals and values of the school.
- Cost: Smaller proposals may be given priority in order to allow the PTSA to fund the greatest number of requests.
The type and number of projects that will be funded will vary each application season according to the applicant pool and available funding.
The PTSA reserves the right to request information and documentation in addition to the application itself.
Availability of alternative funding sources will also be considered.
The PTSA will consider grants for the 2019-20 school year, submissions are due by October 15, 2019 and January 15, 2020. An additional call for grants may be made in Spring 2020, depending on available funding.
